Life membership is the most prestigious recognition the Council of the Samoa Institute of Accountants can bestow, awarded to Fellow Chartered Accountants who have demonstrated eminent achievement and service of the highest degree to the profession and the community. It is a rare and distinguished honour that celebrates a lifetime of extraordinary contribution.

Unlike other membership categories, Life membership is not something that can be applied for. It is awarded at the discretion of the Institute's Council, reflecting the deeply personal and exceptional nature of the recognition. Life Members represent the very best of the profession — individuals whose careers have left a lasting impact on the standards, reputation, and development of accounting in Samoa.

In recognition of their service, Life Members are exempt from paying membership fees, a fitting acknowledgement of the value they have already contributed to the Institute and the profession. Life Members retain their connection to the Institute's professional community and continue to serve as role models and pillars of integrity for current and future generations of accountants.

While Life membership is an honour, it does not override the profession's accountability standards. Life Members remain subject to the Institute's disciplinary framework, reinforcing the principle that professional responsibility endures throughout one's career and beyond.
